H9, brand new. Using Roland EV 5 pedal. Worked for about a week, then stopped working. (On a gig, no less.) I’ve re-istalled the latest firmware update, checked the EV 5 with another Factor pedal and its working. Do I have to send this puppy back? Pleas say it isn’t so.

Hard to know without having it in front of me, but a few things to try:

      1) The pedal has a calibration knob (maybe called Minimum Volume) – try adjusting this and see if it makes a difference.

      2) The H9 has various settings related to pedals. Try setting EXPTIP to PEDAL.

      3) Try the pedal calibration (PDLCAL = ON)

      4) Try wiggling the jack in and out in case the contacts are dirty.

Quite likely that one of the above will produce a result …

So none of the above worked,. When I plug the pedal in and change or activate a patch, the display jump all over the place with random numbers. I think I’m going to have to send it back to Eventide. I don’t know what else to do here.

      Quick not, you said

      2) The H9 has various settings related to pedals. Try setting EXPTIP to PEDAL.

Not sure where this is done.

BTW, I found this. Still same problem. Almost like there is an LFO at work somewhere here.

        Is that possible?

Look in the latest (online) UM . It's in the System menu.

We have had very few problems with the pedal input, so my guess is that it is something at your end. But, if you are sure that this is not the case, you should send it in.

Looks like the parameters are going from min to mak on the H9, though I’m not moving the pedal.

Found the EXPTIP to PEDAL in the UYIL menu, (Says EXPR now.)

I’m guessing you’re correct in rthat the problem is on this end. (the jockey not the horse)

Gonna get a hold of the Ernie Ball 25k volume pedal and give it a shot.
