Factors vs. Eclipse

 Im wondering which would be better to have. All three factor stompboxes or the eclipse. I'd be using them mostly in a studio environment so I like the form factor of the eclipse rack unit, but do the stompboxes provide me anyhting the eclipse doesnt?

the FACTORS have more knobs for hands on control. Also I believe the knobs can be used as MIDI controlers, which may be useful.

 As always, depends on what you want.

The Factors have their appeal, but the Eclipse has AES/EBU,SPDIF,ADAT and many more algorithms, along with better audio quality and greater overall capability.

But, it costs more. No surprise.

Nick, with the three factors one could have a dual delay, harpeggiator, and flanger all at once. Could all of these effects be active on an Eclipse or is there a processor limitation?

If this is your main priority you may need the separate pedals.

Eclipse only supports a maximum of two effects at a time, and some of the Factor effects are too big to share.
