I am actually stealing this idea from the Chase Bliss Audio pedal line.
It would work similarly to an expression pedal: you would set max and min values on the parameters you want to be effected. Instead of a pedal sweeping it manually you could use an internal oscillator to bounce back and forth (ramp up, ramp down, random, etc) and it would only effect the parameters that were assigned
