Hey,
I wanted to raise a small but workflow-impacting behaviour with Save To H9000 that I think could be improved.
Current behaviour
- The first time you use Save To H9000, it works as expected: it takes the current session name and allows you to save under a new name.
- However, after saving, the H9000 remains on the original session.
- If you then tweak settings and try to save again, it still references the original session name rather than the newly saved one.
This means you have to:
- Remember or look up what you previously saved the session as, and then
- Manually find and overwrite it, or create a new version.
Workaround
The current workaround is to manually load the saved session after the first save, but this breaks flow and feels unnecessary.
Ideal behaviour
After the first Save To H9000, the unit should automatically switch to (or “open”) the newly saved session. That way, if you save again, the correct session name is already active and ready to be overwritten or versioned.
This would make iterative tweaking and versioning much smoother, especially when using the H9000 as part of a mixing workflow.
Nice one,
Craig

My concern here is that loading the new session may interrupt audio. If it could be done without glitches to audio, then that would be awesome.

Sorry, I’m not sure if I follow your request. Are you updated to the latest version of Emote and H9000 firmware? Some improvements were made to this in the last few updates.
When you select “Save to H9000”, it does create a new Session, and that becomes the currently loaded Session. For example, start with the 901 Reverb busses, select “Save To H9000”, and create a new Session name. You will now see that new Session in the Session browser, and the currently loaded Session title at the top of Emote and on the front panel are both updated to that new Session title.
I can see how you mention when you save again and Emote prompts for the Session title, that will not always reflect what the currently loaded Session is.
If the request is to fix the Session save dialog so it always is pre-populated with the current Session title, I will log that.
If the request is something else, please provide more details.
