We are happy to announce a new version of Emote/H9000 firmware.

This marks our first firmware update since the release of the Gen2 DSP upgrade for the H9000: https://store.eventideaudio.com/products/gen2-dsp-upgrade-kit-for-h9000

Certain features in future updates will be exclusive to the Gen2 DSP modules. Going forward, you will need to use a specific firmware version depending on which DSP modules are installed in your H9000:

• H9000 Gen1 modules will use Firmware version 2.x
• H9000 Gen2 modules will use Firmware version 3.x

Please follow the instructions below for which type of modules you have installed:

Gen1 Firmware 2.4.4 Update Instructions:

Note: The update to Firmware 2.4.4 requires a USB recovery mode update, it cannot be done with Emote

• Download the 2.4.4 USB firmware here: https://www.eventideaudio.com/downloads/usb-installer-for-h9000
• Follow the instructions for a Recovery Mode update: https://cdn.eventideaudio.com/manuals/h9000/2.2.11/content/appendix/startup_seq.html#recovery-mode
• Once the update is complete, install the latest version of Emote and you should be all set: https://www.eventideaudio.com/downloads/?product=Emote

Gen2 Firmware 3.1.3 Update Instructions: 

Note: Your H9000 must be running firmware 3.0.22 to see the 3.1.13 update in Emote. If your firmware is not up to date, or you have not yet installed your Gen2 modules, please follow the instructions here first before you update using Emote: https://www.eventideaudio.com/support/h9000-dsp-upgrade-kit-guide/

• Make sure you have the latest version of Emote (version 3.1.3) installed: https://www.eventideaudio.com/downloads/?product=Emote

Gen1 Firmware 2.4.4 New Features:

• New Granular algorithms:
  • Cosmic Web – High-end rack processing with a modern, macro granular package. Cosmic Web blends reverse pitched grains with classic Eventide reverb for deep delay and pad-like modulated space. https://cdn.eventideaudio.com/manuals/h90/1.12.5/content/algorithms/granular.html#cosmic-web

• Add Favorites: You can now mark any of your Sessions / FX Chains / Algorithms as a favorite from the front panel or Emote.
  • Press and hold the Favorites/Set/Clear Soft Key to mark something as a Favorite. A heart icon will display to the right of the title.
  • Press and hold the Favorites/Set/Clear Soft Key again to un-favorite something.
  • Press the Favorites/Set/Clear Soft Key to display your favorited items.
