How do you get an effect like the Chris Carter Gristle Mangler to stop fluctuating i.e. make it sound like the beat of this track.

Hi,

I’m not sure if that preset is a good starting point for the drum sound you are going for in the Cabaret Voltaire track. That sounds to me like comb filtering from a very short delay with high feedback.

I’ve attached a preset that is dual delays with short delay + high feedback. You can tune this by changing either the left/right delay time and adjusting the feedback to be higher, just watch out with how high you tune this feedback parameter.
