        Hello everyone,

        besides my Orville and DSP-4500 I just bought a second hand H-3000-D/SE for my live rack and I am wondering if the lates software is installed. Also it makes a a mechanical noise when I switch it on. I guess the noise comes from the transformator. Do I have to service the unit for this or is that normal?

          If you have a D/SE it will have the latest software (I am informed that there was only one).

          Some older units can suffer from noisy transformers as the laminations rattle loose. We can supply or install new transformers, but it will probably cost more than it is worth, especially if you are not in the US. If you are still interested, contact support@eventide.com

            Thank you for your quick answer. I think I just live with the transformer noise, as long as it's safe. I am not using it anyway in my studio.
