H9 Factory presets and user presets

I'm thinking of buying an H9 Max. I just saw an instructional video that was explaining how to save presets in the app. I think it confused me more. It appears that certain presets are factory and can't be overwritten. So, how many user presets are there that can be written to? Thanks.

All of the presets that come bundled with H9 Control are considered Factory presets, and there are over 500 hundred of them.   You can change and save any of these presets as user presets though.

I thought there were only 99 presets.

Is it that there are 500 presets in the Control app but only 99 of them can be loaded on to the H9 Max?

Yes, that is correct, you can load up to 99 presets at a time to any H9. You can create and store hundreds of user presets in H9 Control app, from factory presets or from scratch, and then create a preset list of your choices and load it to your H9.
