Hi Eventide team,
I’m trying to register and update an H9 Gen 2, but its serial number is being rejected in both places. “XXXXX” used instead of actual #’s below. I have screen shots of the serial #’s on the pedal, the box, the system about screen. and I have a copy of receipt. I can provide again privately to Eventide staff.
Model: H9 Gen 2
Serial number shown on the unit and in the H9 system menu: HX-“XXXXX”
Current software / OS: 1.0.1.85
Factory Pack: 1.0.1.0
Panel: 0.007
Eventide Control version: 2.2.0
Eventide Control recognizes the pedal as H9 serial HX-“XXXXX” and shows “Software Update Required.” But when I attempt the update, it returns:“Software Release Service Error: The serial number ‘HX-“XXXXX” ’ has not been added to Eventide inventory.”
The Eventide hardware-registration page also rejects HX-“XXXXX” as an “Invalid serial number.”HX-“XXXXX” is the only serial number printed on the bottom of the pedal, and it is also what the H9 itself reports in System > About > Versions. I have already emailed support but have not yet heard back.
The pedal otherwise powers up and works normally, including audio and wired MIDI program changes. Can someone please confirm whether this serial number needs to be added/corrected in Eventide’s inventory, or advise the proper registration path?
Thank you.
