Is there any way that I can utilize the MIDI Clock In so I can receive bpm data from ableton when I’m sending it from our session that’s running our tracks, and then utilize tap tempo when I don’t have that data coming from ableton?

It appears that I can only utilize Tap Tempo if I  have MIDI Clock In turned off.

      Please advise.

      I LOVE the H9!!

Glad you love the H9, but your understanding about the MIDIclock function is correct.

We thought it necessary that the tempo source be clearly defined, not jumping from place to place as signals came and went.

I would love to see an option to have “MIDI Clock On only with incoming clock,” with the last MIDI clock tempo sent being retained, until taping a new tempo manually.

Yes please! It would make the H9 much more useful to me too…
