HI,
simple question, I think. I purchased the new Cioks SOL, it can provide a maximum of 500mA at 12V, which according to your suggestions right here on the forum, is sufficient for the H90 precisely because of the good quality of Cioks devices, despite the H90 requiring 600mA and 12V.
Anyway, taking this for granted, I also have the power supply that came with the H90 and enough space under the pedal board for it and the Cioks.
Furthermore, I have a total of 8 pedals on my pedalboard, four are digital so much so that they deserve a single power cable each, the others are all analogue and together they add up to 60mA of absorption.
Since the SOL only has 5 spots (four are for digital pedals), the last remaining one can still provide 600 mA, which is much more than needed for the four analog pedals.
So…
Here’s my question: would you suggest using only the Cioks for the entire pedalboard, in order to have 1 place for the H90 at 12V/500mA; 3 spots each for three digital pedals (Deco, Cloudburst and Dream65); and a spot daisychained to the four analog pedals?Or…
would you suggest staying as just mentioned, except for the H90 connected to its standard power supply?
I also have a T-Rex with 5 independent spots providing 120mA/9V each. Would you recommend using it for analog pedals instead of cascading the four analog pedals to the Cioks?
Thank you very much for your kind reply

Optimally, and personally, I would have each pedal on my board have its own outlet, but…

This will work just fine provided the analog pedals have the same polarity, the sum of their current draw is not greater than the outlet can provide, and you don’t experience any ground loops, which is not uncommon when daisy chaining pedals like this.

Not necessary, frankly.

Only if you experience ground loops with the Sol, which I bet won’t be the case.
