Hey guys, I just bought a brand new in the box H90 and it will not connect to my 4K studio windows computer? I also can NOT connect via blue tooth to my ipad pro??? This came with firmware 1.5.6.161 and I see that it needs to be updated to 1.8.5 to fix the non connection issue? When going into system settings there are 6 boxes. Global, I/O, Midi. Preferences, About, and what should be Bluetooth? However there is no Bluetooth box to turn on or off Bluetooth??? Soo now I have a brand new H90 that works but I have zero access to the H90 Control to make any changes especially updating it??? Has any body found a work around to this?? For a empire such as Eventide im pretty letdown right now and pretty bumbed out about it? Any help would be appreciated? Contacted support but was hoping someone has a solution for me?

Hello Leoisneo,
The H90 can only be updated by connecting via USB directly to the computer. Do not use any external USB hubs. Firmware is not updatable via Bluetooth. That said, Bluetooth capability is only available as of firmware version 1.7.5, so this is the reason you don’t see it in the System menu on your version presently. I recommend you subscribe to this forum thread to get the latest information on firmware versions in the future: https://www.eventideaudio.com/forums/topic/h90-software-latest-2/
This is the same thing but for H90 Control versions: https://www.eventideaudio.com/forums/topic/h90-control-latest/
Have you followed the update instructions as outlined in the manual? https://cdn.eventideaudio.com/manuals/h90/1.8.6/content/update.html
Have registered your H90 and downloaded the latest version of H90 Control?
Have you attempted to connect directly to your computer via USB to update firmware? -

Ok, so the bluetooth problem I see that I need it to be upgraded to a newer firmware to have bluetooth. Got it. As far as register, yes I did. I downloaded the newest version of control as instructed but it will not connect from the H90 to my computer using 6 different cables??? I can not update firmware if it will not connect to H90 control? I get a timed out error code every time. ID(0x71)! Show how do I upgrade it if I have no access to H90 control??

Are there any older firmware download links that I have access to to at least get it to connect to update it??

The latest version of H90 Control is sufficient to update any version. I thinks it’s best to wait until our Support team responds. If you’ve already sent a message to support@eventideaudio.com then you should’ve gotten a confirmation message that they will be working on your request.
By chance, what anti-virus software are you using, if any?

There are a few forum threads identifying Avast/AVG as problematic anti-virus software for USB and other MIDI devices. The solution involves deleting the software temporarily, conducting your H90 update, and then re-installing the anti-virus. https://www.eventideaudio.com/forums/topic/h90-control-app-no-longer-seeing-h90/

Happy to hear you figured it out. Thank you for reporting back. While we do not have an official list of anti-virus software that is compatible, a user reported they can use Avira’s free service without issues.
