        Hi,

i believe I’ve observed a bug in the h90 control application.

When saving preset with a name that already exists, I am warned that doing so will over write the existing saved user preset. Selecting ok then performs the save.

When browsing the preset library, however, the preset with the same name now appears twice as a new one with duplicate name was created instead of an overwrite. This is reflected on the device when browsing the preset library as well.

when performing preset saves from the device directly, the behavior is as expected and the existing preset with the same name is overwritten.

I did not try to remediate the duplicate named file by overwriting on device. I instead deleted the 2 from h90 control and initiated preset saves from the device directly.

        thank you.

          Hi,

I’ve spent more time paying attention to this User Preset issue and it seems the copies of existing presets are slightly modified and not accurate copies. Most parameters are set according to the original but a small handful of settings will be different such as tempo synch and mix. Not all saved presets had this occur. I was also careful this time to only save presets from the h90 device, and was always cautioned that I was overwriting an existing preset with the same name.

Curious if anyone else has observed this issue and knows the source?

I’m connecting to H90 control using Bluetooth, latest updates and firmwares applied. I tried a factory reset as well just in case there was something corrupted in the user space but encountered the same result.

          Thanks.

              Hi,

I have this problem and have mentioned it.  I believe solving it is on Eventide’s to-do-list.

Oddly, you might be the only other person who has noticed it (out of what? 10,000 units? more?).

At the moment, I just don’t save user-presets.

              ~Tony

Thanks for the quick response. I’ve just emailed support@eventide.com to be sure they are aware of this issue.

Fingers crossed it can be resolved easily and quickly. User Presets are a terrific feature. Would be a shame to not be able to use them, especially for on-device editing.
