I´ve been using the H90 control with my H90 for like 6 months with no problems whatsoever. I recently got a MacBook Pro and I migrated everything from my older iMac. The H90 control worked as it should with the H90 after the migration. Now suddenly I cannot connect the H90 to H90 control. Under My Devices there is no pedal to connect and I cant Add Device cous there is no device there to add, there is only “Select a port” and “Morningstar MC6 MKII Port1… Port 4”.
I have tried to restart the Macbook, restart the H90, close and open the H90 control, different USB-C cable, logged out and in on the H90 control…
Using MacOS Monterey 12.6.7, H90 Control Version 1.4.1
Any advice on what to do?

Hi Stratmaster,
Try disconnecting the H90 from the USB port. Go into the Mac’s Audio MIDI setup and delete the H90 from the setup. Then, reconnect the pedal via USB to let the Mac sense it again. Open up H90 Control again and try to add device.

I tried to disconnect the H90 from the port and deleted the H90 from the MIDI setup in the Mac and reconnected the H90 visa USB, but no cigar. The H90 dont show up in the MIDI set up and it doesnt show up in the H90 control.

I’ve found I have to delete the H90 from H90 Control app and re-add it, then it works again. A bug indeed, but seems to work every time the issue presents itself as a workaround.

Thanks, I’ve tried deleting the pedal from H90 Control but it doesent help in my case. I can’t re-add it cous H90 control is unable to see the H90.
I’m in contact with Eventide support but so far no luck with fixing this issue.

Problem seems to be fixed.
I was using a USB-hub with my Macbook and now I tried using and USB-C/USB-C cable instead and the H90 connects to H90 control. The strange thing is that the USB-hub worked just fine with the H90 for a few weeks but for some reason it suddenly stoped working and the computer had no connection with the H90.
A big thanks to Eventide support for helping me.

Appoligies for a thread revival and slight re-rail as this thread is about Mac’s but I have found a work around for Windows 11 that I can use every time without the need to reboot.
I am using a program called USB Device Tree Viewer (Current version is V4.2.5)
- Close and Exit H90 Control App
- Run the program and navigate to the Port that has H90
- Select the H90’s parent Port (in my case its the Eventide USB Composite device
- Right click that parent
- Choose “Restart Port”
