Hi
I have a stereo rig which includes a mono input to H90 (after compressor and drives), then stereo OUT 3/4 goes to another modulation & delay, back to stereo IN 3/4 of H90 and then OUT 1/2 to a final reverb.
The force mono option could be potentially great because I often play with 1 amp and it could save the annoying un-plugging of all the stereo FX in the loop to avoid loosing signal.
But he thing is, that sometimes I want the 2 H90 algorithms come BEFORE any other delay, which means putting inserts 1-2 at the end of the chain in the routing settings (f.e. when using Synth + Modulation or so). But then I notice that the stereo signal is still in stereo even when “Force Mono” is on.
I assume it’s related to I/O 4 which doesn’t have mono/stereo configurations according to manual?Does that mean that the “Force Mono” option apply only when the final signal is going through at least 1 of the algorithms?
If so – any chance it could be fixed by software update..?
In case not, I would clarify it in the docs because it basically still forces me to unplug stereo I/Os (or alternatively bound myself to use only 1 preset before the inserts and keep the flexibility of the “Force Mono” feature)*I also tried to play with parallel options but it’s basically the same, as long as the 2 inserts won’t go through A or B, the outputs won’t some the stereo image to mono…

Hello,
As you have found, a stereo insert will not be forced to mono if it is either in parallel, or the last processor in the signal chain. We may change this behavior in a future update, and I have logged your request. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for your reply, if this is something that could be changed by software update and not a hardware built in issue it’s good news.
I will appreciate it a lot if you fix it sometime in the near future, as the “Force mono” is meant for stereo rigs but a bit confusing because using the stereo inserts in various positions is probably a common use.Thank you very much!
