H90 level issues

I’m using the H90 in the effects loop of my Fender super sonic and when I engage the effect there is an approximate 9db boost in signal.  When I depress and disengage the the level returns to normal.  I decreased the input and output level on the particular algo and it worked fine.  I’m wondering if there is a global setting for this mismatched impedance issue.

Have you checked to see if your H90 inputs / outputs are set to line level or instrument level?   Are those mismatched?

Also, please be aware that there is a volume bump when you run effects in parallel and have either one disengaged.
