Recently i changed my audio interface and bought H9000. I connect them with ADAT but my Apogee do not show me ADAT channels only Analog and AES.
Does anybody know why?
Now I’m thinking to buy Aes/Ebu Tascam to Yamaha pinout to get round trip from my DAW to Apogee and then to H9000 and back to DAW.
Is it possble and how many channels i will have?
Any advice or experience will be helpfull.

Hello,
I believe we have already resolved your issue via the support portal, but let me know if you need further help.
You can send/receive 8 channels over ADAT and 8 channels over AES/DSUB simultaneously.

<p style=”text-align: right;”>Yes we are working on it thanx to you guys, thank you. One more question, i ordered couple of days ago this cable:

<p style=”text-align: right;”>enoaudio Mogami 3162 8 Multicore Digital Cable AES/EBU 110 Ohm | Gold DB25 DSUB D-Sub 25 | HiFi, Compatible with Tascam/Yamaha Crossover Pinout, 0.5 m

is that other connection for additiona 8 channels? Or just 2? Because i don’t understand aes/dsub, i mean what cable should buy and where to connect. Thank you for your patience with me 😂 -

You’re welcome. It looks like your link didn’t post correctly but yes, the AES/EBU cable will provide 8 channels of audio as well. You can use both ADAT and AES simultaneously for a total of 16 channels if you like.

Hello tbskoglund,
Quick question concerning this topic.
The documentation from this website says you can only chose 1 digital protocol at a time:
“When using the H9000’s digital I/O:
Only one of the following protocols may be active at a time: ADAT, S/PDIF Optical, S/PDIF RCA, AES3 XLR, or AES DB25. This is configured on the front panel’s Clock menu page, or in Emote’s Setup View.”
Can you please explain how I can bypass this limitaion without using my MADI card? I’d love to be able to use ADAT and AES for my situation.
