        Good morning, I need detailed technical advice. I have the complete Eventide VST bundle package. I’m very interested in the Harmodulator algorithm (which isn’t included as a VST). Is it possible to recreate it from scratch or get as close as possible using the plugins included in the bundle? I imagine starting with the H3000 Factory. Is that correct? Are there any starting presets or plugin combinations that allow me to get close to the algorithm? I’d be very happy with your suggestions. Thanks.

          Hi there, yes, with the modules included in H3000 Factory Mk II you should be able to get to a reasonable approximation of most of that algorithm’s sounds.  The H3000 factory pitchshifters only go up 1 octave rather than 3, but the pitchshifters, delays, LFOs, Envelope follower, and Mixers should get you there otherwise.

          I’d encourage you to read the documentation for the algorithm here.  The short version is that the algorithm is modulated pitchshifters with filtering going into feedback delays.  You may find it helpful to go through some of the presets in the 03 PitchShifting/MicroPitch folder, particularly Doubler 2.

          You can use the Expert and Function sections to add performance controls and further mappings.

            Thanks for your suggestion, I think I’ve found a fairly satisfactory compromise to get close to the sound: I loaded the H3000 factory “pitch trails” preset and increased delay2 to 600ms, setting the square wave to LFO. I want to get even closer to the Harmodulator “Trance octaves” preset, can you recommend any specific settings in the program expert and function sections?
