help with adjusting the input level

another stumper, I am hearing a bit hiss and noticed the input level needs increased. I follow the directions to access it by pressing the left switch but it only brings up the

out +level but quickley disappears.

I think that functionality might have changed since we wrote the manual. You should check the latest pdf version of the manual instead of consulting the printed manual that came with your H9 for this particular function.

yes , I tried pressing the hotknob and right switch  but it brings up pin and name which doesnt seem right

I think I resolved the problem by powering off then powering on
