I want to use my Morningstar Midi Switcher (MS4 Pro) to control Hot Switches. Each switch of the Midi switcher should control one HS.

I’ve assigned a CC number to this and set the value to 127 to activate HS1. However, when I press the same switch again, the H90 program reverts to its original position (but it should always remain HS1). So it toggles, but it should not!

        How can this be handled?

Try setting your Action Types to 127 on Press and 0 for Release.

I already tried that. It didn’t work.

However, I now know the solution. I have to use HS(M) – that is, with the suffix M (for momentary) – then it’s not a toggling function.
Although I find the M (for momentary) misleading… because “momentary” means something else to me. It should rather be L (for latching).

Yep, I was going to say to use the momentary setting and control on/off with the CC value

I think the confusion is just from the language in the manual. The P/A/B settings call it a toggle but for hotswitches it says engage, not toggle.
