OK a long time H9k user here but there’s one thing that really annoys me – every time I load the Emote app (current build, 2.1.10 on a Mac) my previous SETUP settings have changed, this happens every time.
For instance… I always have DIGITAL AUDIO MODE set to ADAT and TEMPO MODE set to DAW.
But whenever I start a new session and load Emote it reverts to the previous (seemingly default) setting of DIGITAL AUDIO MODE: AES3 DB25 and TEMPO MODE: Internal (with a tempo of 20 bpm).
Eventide is there any way to permanently save my own default SETUP settings?

Hi Chris,
Whenever you boot up the H9000, it should load whatever state the unit was previously in, so all settings should be the same as the last time you used it. Emote will only reflect what is loaded on the H9000, so opening Emote should not change any settings.
The only time your settings should change is if you load a Session that uses different settings.
Can you be more specific when you say “start a new session”? Are you selecting “New” from the Sessions menu on the front panel of the unit?
If something different is happening, we may need to troubleshoot the issue further.

It may be possible that you have a H9000 stste saved with your new DAW session.
There are 2 ways to recall a H9000 state. The first is the sessions menu in Emote. The second is syncing a saved state of the Emote plugin that is saved with your DAW session.
If you had an Emote state synced when you created your DAW default template then it may have come along for the ride. On Live I get a pop-up asking me if I want to recall the saved state.

Hi and thanks for the speedy replies guys.
My apologies for mixing my terminology re ‘session’.
‘Session’ in my post was referring to a new ‘recording session’, a new recording project, sorry about that. But yes each day when a load up Emote my actual H9k ‘Sessions’ do indeed reload as I last left them, that’s fine – but the Emote H9000 SETUP page always reverts back to “DIGITAL AUDIO MODE: AES3 DB25 and TEMPO MODE: Internal” – no matter what settings I’ve changed on that page the day before.
So are these SETUP settings something which should be adjusted in the H9000 itself if I want them to be retained?

Thanks for clarifying. Those settings should be retained after a reboot so we can try some further troubleshooting.
I’ll message you directly with the steps to take.
