How to tap tempo on one H9 pedal but change tempo on 2 (or more) H9 pedals

Hi!

I’m a bit new to this so it might be a simple question….

 

I have 2 H9 pedals and want to tap the tempo on one (H9) pedal which directly changed the tempo on both H9 pedals to the same bpm. (so not needing to tap them indivually to the same tempo, which would be very unwanted during live performance)

I already tried connecting them together via midi, but that didn’t trigger anything (I might have to do something more?).

Do I need an external tap tempo pedal or such??

You can do this by connecting the two pedals via MIDI, but you need to configure a couple of system settinngs.  You should open up H9 Control, click on the Pedal button in the bottom menu bar, click on the Midi Settings button, and click on the Midi Clock button.  You'll see the relevant settings there for sending the tempo out via Midi Clock.  You'll want to enable Midi Output Clock on the H9 sending tempo information, and you'll want to enable Midi Input Clock on the H9 receiving tempo information (and likely the Midi Clock Filter as well).
