      Hello Dethjazz,

Have you updated the H90 Control application to version 1.7.1? This should be done first before updating the pedal to firmware 1.6.1.

after “quitting” h90 control upon reopening interface was slightly different and prompted to DL 1.6 and now it works. That’s what I get for not reading through everything. I hope this thread helps other dummies like me that don’t take the time to read instructions.

Hi Turbostang2005, sorry about this issue. If you power cycle the pedal, does it boot up normally?

Can we try booting up in recovery mode?

      Connect the pedal via USB
      Power down the pedal.
While holding down SELECT, PERFORM, and Quick Knob 1, connect the power. It should boot up in recovery mode. Do you see that on the screen?

Make sure you have downloaded the latest H90 Control software v1.7.1

      – To do so log into your Eventide account.

      – Find your H90 in the list of registered products and click “Docs & Downloads.”

      – Download the H90 Control version 1.7.1 that corresponds to your operating system, Windows or MacOS.

      – Once installed, open the application. Let me know what you see.

Yes, don’t do anything with the pedal. On the software go to where the three horizontal bars are at the top left and click “H90 Recovery.” Choose 1.6.11 and click install.

Press the PRESETS button. With the third Quick Knob set the algorithms list to “PolySynth.” Turn SELECT to play that algorithms presets.

If you want to explore Programs with PolySynth presets in them, press PROGRAMS, use the third Quick Knob set the algorithms list to “PolySynth.” Turn SELECT to play that Programs that feature combinations that use PolySynth presets.

If we were able to resolve your issue, please update the YouTube comments to reflect H90 Recovery mode helped fix the problem.

I did and thank you for providing excellence in service. Especially on a Holliday.. Polysynth stuff is rad. I play bass usable stuff.

I installed  H90 Control app 1.71 (MacOS 11.7.2) and used that to install H90 firmware 1.6.11. It seemed to go fine. I did have to power cycle the H90. When I did, it updated the panel and then updated Bluetooth (separate sequences and both happened automatically when I connected power after doing the firmware update)

I see the new PolySynth algorithm and related programs and presets.

But the app keeps losing the USB connection. When this happens, sometimes it will flip between the H90 showing as “Not Available” and “Connect” on a pretty regular cadence (like, 2 seconds “Not Available” then 2 seconds “Connect”)

And sometimes it just shows “Not Available” until I disconnect and reconnect the USB cable at the H90 (if I disconnect the USB at the computer, nothing changes)

And sometimes, it just shows “Connect” and I can connect. But then the connection gets lost again after maybe a couple minutes. Lather rinse repeat

I do connect thru a USB hub and have not (yet) tried connecting H90 directly to the computer because it’ll take some logistics and because I’ve not had any issue with this connection in the past and other devices connected to the same hub don’t have an issue.

Any advice is appreciated and let me know if I can provide more info.

Update: I connected the H90 directly to my computer and the connection was totally stable. It’s curious because the other units connected via the USB hub don’t drop, including the Rose (using EDM) and this never happened before I updated the H90 and H99 Control.

On the positive side, this may be moot when H90 can be controlled via Bluetooth, which should be any day now 🙂

Please try deleting the H90 from H90 Control by clicking the “X” button. You can then add it again by clicking the “add device” button in the top right corner.

You may also find that restarting your computer resolves the issue after deleting/re-adding the device.

Let me know if that works.
