hi. It is really great that there is a Perform page for the Looper now, but I am surprised not to find CC Messages which I could then use to trigger the Perform page of the looper. On the manual it says that those buttons are not assignable, which is fine, but there should be some way to trigger those messages via midi, not only by stomping on the H90 itself. Am I missing something? Is this being resolved with an upcoming update? PS: I use a Morningstar Midi controller.

Unlike the other pages in Perform Mode, these footswitch cannot be assigned to other functions.

I believe the intent there is to say you can’t re-assign REC PLAY STOP on that dedicated page to other functions.  You can’t ‘click though’ and change them to Direction or Speed, for example, like the other Perform pages.

But you can certainly map those controls for external control (MIDI CC or Aux switches).

hi brock – thanks for replying – the mapping of the 1-button Looper is the outcome of the page you referenced (and I have been using it) – what I meant is, there is no Perform Parameter for the Looper “record/dub, stop and play” at the “System/External Control” level, like there is for P A and B or for the 6 Parameters – the looper Perform page exists only on the Pedal and is its own thing, currently, I believe, with no option for assigning a midi CC to each of the record/dub, play or stop functions

When using a Perform Parameter as a 1-button Looper, you can assign CC values to the functions, but I notice the 1-button looper requires sometimes resetting a message before using it again and is otherwise cumbersome to me. As far as I know, the looper Perform page is only accessible via the Pedal and there is no Eternal Control option to access the looper Perform other than using the pedal itself – maybe Eventide can shed some light or tell me if I am missing something else?

              Hello,

Correct, there are no global level controls for the Looper transport functions. You must map these at the Program level.

Please see the screenshot below. You may map the individual transport controls using H90 Control from the “control assignments” tab.

On the pedal UI, you may make these mappings by going to the Looper perform page and press and holding the LED button for any of the transport controls. For example, press and hold the P LED button to map the record functions to a controller.
