So, hello, I am a new Eventide user. I bought a used MicroPitch and like it. The problem is that the USB port does not seem to be working. I spent an entire day downloading, rebooting, trying different computers, different cables, and everything I could think of. On Monday, I started working with Eventide support. They had me redo everything I had already done and some things I had not. At this time, I am still waiting to hear from them after my last response to their instructions. It still will not connect to the computer. The Reverb seller has been kind and offered to take it back.
I am wondering how much of this pedal’s function I am losing by not being able to connect it to my computer. And, will that affect MIDI if I go there in the future?
If I am getting most of the functionality of the pedal, I might just keep it. The price was fair, and not terrible if this function does not work. I just don’t know what I will be loosing out on if the USB connection will not work.
Thank you for any opinions you may be willing to share.

Before you decide to send it back, please wait for support to conclude if there’s a hardware problem or not.

None of the apps are necessary to program and control the MicroPitch Delay. Is it easier, yes, but all functionality can be achieved using the front panel controls and learning the system menu manually, which the free quick reference guide explains. It’s even possible to store presets beyond the 5 on board presets using a MIDI controller.

The only thing you will not be able to do is load any firmware updates, but we don’t plan on releasing any more, as the pedal has been available for some time and problems worked out.
