Middle Switch on ModFactor is Malfunctioning

For some reason whenever i step on the middle footswitch to go to preset two on any bank, the preset engages while the switch is in the down position, but as soon as i release it, it jumps back to bypass. However, sometimes i can actually get it to activate and stay, but when i try to bypass it, it does the same thing, and jumps back to active. I'm hoping this isn't a hardware issue. Any thoughts? thanks
