Modfactor suggestion – ‘envelope follower’ MIDI CC

Here's an idea that strikes me after spending a few months with the Modfactor and doing a lot of MIDI hacks with it and other equipment… what if the LFO position could be transmitted as a MIDI CC message? Many keyboards can transmit their expression / modulation wheels with continuous controller commands, and this would also be analogous to envelope following in an analog synth circuit.
