I just picked up a MC6 for my H9 and now realize I need to power the unit as the H9 MIDI out is 5 pin and does not provide phantom power. But before I pick up a power source for the MC6 I’m wondering if anybody knows if I can use the USB of the H9 to the USB of the MC6 to provide phantom power???
No, the USB of the H9 will not power any other unit. MC6 can be powered by an 9v center – power source. If you’re using it on a pedalboard with a power supply, any 9v outlet will work. Takes very little power to make it work.
