        Hi all,

I am trying to set up a midi controller to use with my school’s Eclipse, but I can’t find the “External” option under Setup.

This machine is running on V1.020, and I can’t update it — since it is school’s property.

Is there any luck for me?

        Thanks! =)

You should REALLY REALLY REALLY update that Eclipse to V4. It just doesn’t make sense to be on that very early OS release.

Talk to the school folks and make them understand the much better value the latest OS adds to the machine in terms of funcionality, algorithms and presets and reliability.

I will definitely do that, although that machine doesn’t get much use…

For now, I would really love to know if the fact that the External option is missing is because of the firmware or because I am missing something…

The User Manual V1.0 shows EXTERNALs. They are 8. Latest OS has 16!

They are in the MODULATION BLOCK, under PARAMETER page 2 <EDIT MOD>.

You should refer to the user manual.

I could not for the life of me find the manual for V1.0. Would you mind sharing?

Thanks! I will try to follow your steps.
