pre/post stereo?

curious if pre-/post into a stereo Roland JC-40 w can somehow keep the stereo effects. My guess is no, as each cable goes intoit’s own mono input.

Is this correct, or can I do the tip/ring/sleeve cable thing to keep the stereo image??

Your guess is correct.  Each cable is going into it's own mono jack.  So there's no way to support stereo effects when using pre / post.
