Question on effect type.

Hi,

I am just starting out learning to program my Eventide Orville and heard this effect. The clip is from the 80's group Propaganda: I was wondering what type of effect has been applied to the vocals in this short clip, if anyone could have a listen?

And possibly give some hints on what Eventide effects blocs that can be used to construct it?

the effect is not just..an effect! It's a complex aggregation of different fx that will require a lot of different testing possibilities.

I hear:

-panning delay 

-hi amount of diffusion

-flanging

-reverb

-possibly eq/filtering of some kind

there are many ways these effects can be built and  the unit's presets are the learning tools. 

For panning delay try lfo modulating 2 ampmods in opposite pattern, fed by a delay w/mix for feedback.

Diffusor: try using 4 voice at least. Don't use gains higher than -/+ 0.5.

Flanging : moddelay or microdelay with mix for feedback. Modulated by an Lfo.

Reverb : a Reverb C would be enough here.

Tweaking required!
