      I have the Roland EV-5 expression pedal and find that there is not enough play in the transition, I want a longer throw (I would also like metal casing) does the Boss FV-500L have more travel to it? Also, is there a size difference in these two pedals? (My board is pretty tight)

      I'm also very curious about people's thoughts on this.  I have the EV-5 and am planning on upgrading.  The other pedal I thinking about replacing the EV-5 with is an EB Jr. 25k volume pedal.  Anyone have any experience with that one?
