Sound cuts out when after TimeFactor powers up.

My timefactor powers up and once its ready to play it makes a small click sound and no sound passes through the pedal. It remains on and the pedal works as usual, except for the sound not coming through. I plugged it in at my friends house and for some reason it work again. But at my house and at my studio it has the above mentioned problem. Still using the standard power supply received with the pedal. 9V, 1.2A.

Hard to tell without being there, but I think you have some cabling issue. This is why it worked at your friend's house and not at yours. You probably used different cables or plugged them differently..

If you are using mono in or out, make sure they are plugged into channel 1.
