Tap Tempo Sync using 2 H9’s

I am having an issue with Tap Tempo sync with 2 H9’s. My setup is as follows:

Master:

Midi Clock Settings

–          Enable Midi  Input Clock  —  NO

–          Enable Midi Clock Filter – NO

–          Enable Midi  Output Clock  —  YES

Midi Output Mode =Transmit

Slave:

–          Enable Midi  Input Clock  —  YES

–          Enable Midi Clock Filter – NO

–          Enable Midi  Output Clock  —  NO

Midi Output Mode =Thru

 

Midi Cable on the Master is Plugged into the Output and to the Input on the Slave.

When I use the Tap Tempo on the Master it changes the Tempo on the Master, but the Slave stays at the tempo that it was previously set for. What am I missing?

OK anyone who reads this question, there must have been some other setting interfering because I reset the unit to factory defaults then resetthe midi clock  and output setting and it is working as it should
