The H9 is a unique pedal. It uses an ARM processor, can be controlled with phones using the H9 Control App (now for iOS and Android) via Bluetooth, and instead of complicating the experience, using the H9 with the H9 Control app simplifies the experience. You made a great product, Great products fail sometimes fail in the market.

The H9000 is about 10x the price with16x the processing power (or more, I do not really know) than the H9 but they both use ARM processors. Was the H9 a smaller scale test platform to find out if the ARM processors effectively worked for Eventide’s algorithms? Since they do, did that play into the decision of designing the H9000 to use ARM processors as well?

Lastly, H9 Control now works on iOS/macOS/Android/Windows which seems like a significant allocation of resources to build an infrastructure to accommodate one guitar pedal. Just an observation.

If you would like to share everything you are working on, I do not think many people would be opposed to that either. Just my opinion.

Sorry to spoil your theory, but the H9 does not use ARM.

Instead, it uses Motorola/Freescale/NXP DSP (Digital Signal Processor) which has a very different architecture.

You are correct abou the amount of resources going into H9control. This is difficult for us, but we are driven by what people want (see the number of Android posts, for example).

Not a problem! I misinterpreted what was said in the ongoing effort to relate the H9000’s capabilities to something more familiar. (The “horsepower” metaphor is effective, in my opinion.)
