Presets
Description
Here's a long decaying, 1 second phrase looper. The Rhythm defaults to 2.3.5.7, but the expression pedal is mapped across the full range, from 1.1.1.1 to 8.8.8.8. You can 'play' the Rhythm spacing as it loops.
The HotSwitch changes Feedback from FB1:95 to its particular Freeze position. The long decay is defeated, and Rhythm positions can still be 'played' with the expression pedal.
Note 1-4 have no Resonance (unpitched), but their active high & low pass filters are set to sweep upward across the four delays. Here is the default Rhythm of 2.3.5.7, as adjusted from the Note Grid tab. You can adjust apparent pitch / filter positions, delay timing, and overall delay maximum, all from this page.
Description
The preset below is configured for control like the previous HALL algo example. HotSwitch snaps from a 4 BAR DECAY to FREEZE. The expression pedal sweeps the same range. This one is good for illustrating expression pedal mixing over DECAY / INF / FREEZE. Try mixing the input & drone near the top 1/3 of pedal travel (towards the toe). The relatively deep modulation gets overlaid repeatedly into the background drone.

Description
Many of the H9 / 'Factor algorithms can mimic envelope and gating characteristics without an integrated compressor. Besides, I've always been a sucker for these Poltergist / Hendrix type of effects, when used sparingly.
The expression pedal mapping simply folds in the depth of modulation. One favorite technique is to set TEMPO ON, then play to the reverse reverb in a call-and-response manner. With precise timing, it's easy to create complex & overlapping phrases out of sparse input. Pauses are followed by a sudden 'gate' after DECAY time completion.
Use the HotSwitch here to kick in an infinite dimensional SIZE, and also add a FEEDBACK loop around the entire algorithm. Detuning and pitch bends can occur over time with expression pedal control over MOD-LEVEL. A beautiful holding pattern pushing a wall of sound; one that churns and recycles.
Disengaging the HotSwitch quickly brings up the reverse envelope once again, followed by the 'gate' slamming shut.
