  I have an old eclipse 1.10. It will not finish powering up, always freezes at “loading program” . tap tempo light comes on, left VU meter reads 12 db. Sometimes the led display dims, sometimes not. Have tried all the sugestions to reset from the manuaul from program,setup, and 8. Unit has not been powered up for a long time. Any suggestions.

  Considering how old and unloved this Eclipse must be, first guess would be that it needs a new internal battery. If that does not work, it probably needs fixing.

  Do you kind fellows supply memory discs formatted to try and update an older 1.10 eclipse? Should I try to update via a flashcard reader and PC running Win. 10 from your web site?

  Do you kind fellows supply preformatted update discs for older eclipses? I don’t know if I can format the card without the unit working. Should I try your downloads and a flash card.

  We do supply an Update Card, but our kindness has limits – it's available from the Eventide Store ( http://www.eventidestore.com/ecupandop.html ).
  
  Or you can make your own. For older versions like yours, you need a card smaller than 2G. You don't need to format it specially (it should be FAT rather than FAT32).
  
  Please also study the comments under "Eclipse Bootloader" on the Downloads page ( https://www.eventideaudio.com/support/downloads ).
