H8000FW Crashes

        I am getting the dreaded message “A bus error has occured.” (E12) The error numbers (20200040 and 2000A940 and 31690040) are displayed after I load up one of my  recent custom Presets in DSP A and then switch to DSP B or visa versa. It only happens with Programs I have saved (to Card) and renamed. With all other non customized Presets it does not crash. I have tried to shorten the names to see if that helps (just using letters – no numbers or other symbols) but it still crashes. What gives?

          I'm guessing your card is corrupted in some way.

          First thing would be to reformat it and try again.

          If that fails, try a different card and adaptor.

          If that fails, send the card and adaptor to Eventide marked for my attention and we can have a look at it.

              After lots of testing – I think the crashes had to do with Prests I had saved (and became corrupted) in an iPad app called Sysex Base and then loaded them back into the H8000. I tried to reproduce a crash with many new saved custom files (also using the Sysex Base app- and I haven’t had any more crashes since – thank God.
