Is it possible to freeze a sound with the H90 like the TC Electronic Infinite Sample Sustainer does?

Yes, 2 of the new algorithms Polyphony and Prism Shift have a freeze performance parameter. You can hear it demonstrated here: https://youtu.be/wv6VWxAVBfE?t=208

Thank you very much. I will try this next weekend.

Why doesn’t the blackhole algorithm have the freeze option on the h90? I used it a bit with the h9 and sad to see it not carried over to the h90

It’s still in there.  In BlackHole, Freeze happens with Feedback turned all the way clockwise.

I used this just recently on a PatchStorage Program, to freeze a WormHole.  It never ends.

Word, thanks mate. My next thought was to program a hotswitch for max feedback to see what happens. Sweet.

I did the same in that particular Program.  Just check it back again after you Save.  There’s still a ‘sweet spot’ to hit between Freeze & Infinite.  Sometimes, it doesn’t behave like it should.  Not so sure I needed the HS options there … a 100 light year WormHole is quite long.

Heres a question: can i place a pedal, in this case a MEL9, in one of the pedal Loops and when I freeze the signal in, say Prism shift, will it freeze the signal going to the Mel 9 in the external loop?

I currently use a SuperEgo+ which has its own effect loop and the mel 9 in in that loop, so I can freeze it, or have it triggered normally. It wouild free up more real estate on my board making the h90 even a better choice to replace my 2 H9s… Thanks

Yes, the key is routing in Series.  Just make sure Prism Shift (or Polyphony, PolyFlex, one of the reverbs, etc.) is first in line.  Then whatever follows the frozen signal will process it.

Fortunately there are many placement options for the Inserts.  One quick note on what to expect from Prism Shift:  The High and Low voices will freeze, the Mid voice does not.

Thanks. I think i understand the insert concept. Final thought: can I play over the freeze? Like creating a pad effect and soloing over it? Or is the freeze the only audio? Possibly a mix parameter that controls the wet/dry signal?

      Thanks again!!!
