Sorry, I’m not sure what formatting options you tried. I’ll update the instructions so that we only recommend using the provided drives.
We provide the USB drive for this reason, I’m glad you still had it in the packaging. We provide very fast and reliable support for the H9000, so if someone runs into an update issue, we will have them taken care of immediately.
