There are no plans for an AVB card. I’m not familiar with aggregate devices being so resource intensive, an M2 Mac should have plenty of power for a simple aggregate device setup. You can get a 1/4 patchbay and connect that to your audio interface to allow you to change your routing connections as needed. You can use the 8 channels of ADAT I/O simultaneously. I’d suggest contacting MOTU or one of their dealers if you are unable to find the interface you’re looking for.
It’s when I arm a track in MOTU Digital performer 11 once both the MOTU 828ES and H9000R are set as interfaces. I have tried with various audio devices. The moment I select more than one USB/Thunderbolt audio interface and arm a track, my DSP counter max’s out. Very much in the same way as using certain plugins which are more DSP intensive than others. This is why, rather than trying to use 16 channels of USB audio, I would use 32 channels from an expansion card. I don’t have 8 analog I/O free on the 828ES, and I want to keep the routing as simple as possible, by routing 32 channels between the 828ES and H9000R using one single connection. I also have s MOTU AVB Switch. It has 5 ports. I emplore you Eventide. Please develop an AVB option card as this video clearly shows. I am happy to pay for the expansion card, but the only MOTU interface that is still in circulation with MADI is the 112D, is more than several years old and stores still want full retail, meaning it would cost me 2 grand just to add MADI.
