option. 1
After trying 4 times to get the H9000R to connect to wifi I gave up. (Following the instructions in the manual)
It kept disconnecting and would not establish a wifi connection when I had to enter the H9K password.
This is why I like the simplicity and speed of ethernet.
option 2 is no go. I have a number of pieces of hardware that require ehternet and only have single port on my Mac. So need to use a router.
I hope you will get this fixed for people who have a set-up like mine.
