i would put a vote in for a card that was two dsub connectors – 8in/8out, just like whats already available on the unit, with the addition of preamps on the way in.

If using Dante or MADi in studio or especially Live with digital mixers like A&H SQ series this type of Analog Card would add additional high quality AD/DA conversion + great Mic pres… so total of 16 analog Ins and outs added to the setup.
And let’s not forget that USB on H9k is 16/16 in out, so H9k fitted with 16/16 analog ins and outs makes true sense (even if it would be just the same as the provided AD/DA on the unit and Dsub 25 connectors are absolutely the best option, fitting nicely on the exp card)
