That error message usually is a result of the USB drive not being formatted correctly.
The H9000 comes with a correctly formatted USB drive for updates, do you still have this? It is best to use that drive.
Regarding #4: I’m not sure where you got this information. You must update to the 3.X firmware for the Gen2 modules to work, otherwise your H9000 will not start up.
