I’m not sure the suggestion is to discontinue the H9K in favor of something smaller; rather that Eventide ports the functionality of the H90 to a 1U rack unit akin in format to the Eclipse (or a 2U box ala the H7600) and re-orient the UI more towards studio (or guitar rack) use.
Maybe the demand simply isn’t there. I’m sure Eventide knows their market. Until the day comes (and I’m not assuming it will) my H90 will continue to live on my console and be an indispensable tool.
