Is it ok to use either/or the connections labeled Pedal 1, Pedal 2 located at the rear of the H8000-FW for processing control voltages from external modules? The ones I have output values -5V/+5V or 0/+5V. If so, how do I process these voltages inside VSig? Is this done with the EXTCONTROL module?

It is OK to use them as control voltages – they expect between o and 5V and are protected against reasonable abuse.

You can indeed use EXTCONTROL to access pedal1 and pedal2.

Thanks for the answer, but how do you map -5V/+5V to 0/+5V? A lot of voltages from synthesizers are bipolar, not unipolar.

I am thinking of using a C_CONSTANT module with a value of 2.5 and then connect the EXTCONTROL and the C_CONSTANT to a C_SUBTRACT module to bias negatively the 0/+5V voltage to -2.5V/+2.5V and then feed that to a C_MULTIPLY with a value of 2 to get the -5V/+5V range. What do you think?

Sorry – the unit expects a input range between 0 and 5V. You need to make sure that this is what it sees.
