      Hi,

      I picked up a used DSP4000 unit about 8 months ago.  The unit sounds great, and there's nothing wrong with the signal path.  However, the unit itself emits an low frequency humming sound that gets quite annoying when there is no other audio in my studio.  I've read on GS that this the hum is caused by a transformer problem.  Is there any way I can get a replacement transformer or otherwise fix this hum?

      This will by now be a very old unit, so the transformer laminations may have loosened. You could call to our main office to see if they have transformers, but they may not be cheap.
