      can somebody please tell me what this means when my device starts up, reports an error message and has the error code above in the setup / info section?

      The error code means that there is a problem with the FireWire interface board.

      It might be the result of a failed upgrade (if so, try the upgrade again), or it may be a hardware issue, in which case it will need repair.
