H8000FW looses sync

      Hi, after a few hours the H8000FW looses sync via Firewire and the EXT front led start blinking. Opening Dice it says "System clock is locked"…  I am on OSX 10.7.3. Restarting the mac does not fix the problem. Restarting H8000FW does.  Is there anything that can be done?

      Not sure what your connections are. We would strongly suggest that you use AES or WCLK for sync, rather than relying on the FireWire sync.

      Also, make sure that the H8000 has some space around it so it does not get too hot -the fact that it takes a few hours to misbehave suggests it may be heat related.

      Connection is strictly Firewire. How come that is not good enough when many soundcards rely solely on firewire. The unit is not that hot.
