Hi.  I have my H90 setup in dual mode with a signal path as shown in the attached photo.  However when I engage the King Of Tone, the pedal has little to no effect in overdriving the overall tone and sounds very muted/muffled.  Any ideas why?

Signal Path J.B. = Junction Box, KOT = King Of Tone, POB = Poly Blue Octave, KPP = Kemper Player Profiler, PCH = Strymon PCH

          I think it’s a routing problem.

1/2 are your main stereo in/outs, and it looks like they’re getting mixed up with 3/4 when I trace through that diagram.

If you look at the System input/output menu, you’ll see 1/2 as a stereo pair, and it will automatically handle mono or stereo from those connections.

3 and 4 are two isolated ins and outs, but they can be used as a left-right stereo insert loop if you match up 3to3 in/out and 4to4 in/out.

So your main stereo input and stereo output are best done on 1/2, and your FX loop via 3/4.

          That should help, I think.

I think it’s a routing problem too however I’ve followed the process outlined in the quoted post below:

will the H90 know how the handle the mono -> stereo aspect of the presets based on which path they are on?
Yes. The key thing to remember in Dual Routing mode is that anytime I/O 1 and I/O 3 are used by themselves, things will function in mono. When outputs 1&2 and/or 3&4 are connected, the H90 knows to output signal in stereo.

I assume I would use Input1/Output1 for pre and Input3/Output3/4 for post?
In Dual mode, that’s what Eventide recommends but it’s really up to you.
